Hi Bonsai Padawan... It is a bit difficult to understand what you are asking. Are you asking how "viewing stones" are different from "suiseki" & "scholars' rocks" or are you asking about all three? Have you looked at other posts on this forum or tried a web search? Stone appreciation on this forum largely concerns naturally contoured rocks presented to be seen indoors.

If you are interested & located in Northern California, I'd recommend contacting California Suiseki Society(website linked HERE). Its members will have vast experience on collecting stones for suiseki appreciation in your region.
