Stunning!! Awesome!! work, "the spoon burin" scratch what is and where
would you get the equivalent here in the UK, it looks different to your average
spoon chisel.

Hi Alex,

I just asked Graham Poter the very same question. Will let you know the reply. Unless - anyone out there knows instantly. Wink

Moderators: should this perhaps be on the Questions board?

you can obtain these tools from http://www.sidiao.com .. there are two suppliers in the US or you can order directly from Cheng Cheng Kung.

Dave,

Like you said, there are two vendors in the US, I am one of them.

As far as equivalents in the UK, I don't know. All of those interested can send me a private message and i will make the arrangements with Mr. Cheng.

Kind regards,

While the appearance is similar, the sizes are in a better range for work on bonsai and the tools are of an exceptionally high quality.

"Burin" is another name for a gouge - not exactly a chisel as they're not designed to be struck, but instead pushed by hand.
