Thanks, glad you liked it!
Anyone here seen the Northern Lights themselves? Trying to get a trip up north next year, so I can take some pictures of it. Im very fascinated by lights and different weather phenomenons.

Re: Sunset picture.
Nice photo. I've been doing a little photo project this year (I call it "a photo a day" - very originial, I know) and I've spent a lot of time watching/taking photos of sunsets. The variety is amazing, as are the changes that occur during any particular sunset. I wish I had the time to watch them every night.
I've seen the aurora (northern lights) a few times here in western NY, and even though we're relatively light polluted and far from the poles, they are awe-inspiring. I can only imagine what a strong display would look like further north. Maybe someday I'll get the chance to see them from someplace like Alaska. Good luck! Get some good photos for those of us drooling from outside the aurora belt...

I've seen them -- and believe it or not, it was in north Florida about 15 years ago. There was some kind of big atmospheric disturbance (sunspots????) and the lights were seen from almost everywhere.

Liverpool yesterday from the Tate gallery
Finally some evidence of the sun up north! A remarkable picture and quite valuable I'd imagine?
