many bonsai dead in bangkok
hi ibc , i heard today that because of the flooding in bangkok many bonsai have drowned . my friend told me that most people keep there trees on stands 1 meter high but the flood water has risen to 1.5 meters in many gardens and the trees have literally drowned. montries bonsai garden resort is now a lake, sad . i hope some pull through after the water receeds but there is not much sign yet. i live in north thailand and am unafected but feel for them. regards john

Hi John, I was hoping that this would not happen... The waters have been devastating that's for sure from the images I have seen.

Hi John.
That's sad news for the Thai people and for the bonsai of Thailand as well. I was planning to visit Montries garden resort next year...I hope the Thais could recover fast. We Filipinos just experienced that kind of flood just recently, and is was very traumatic specially if it hits the major city centers.
Stay well and safe my friend.
unexpected huge floods like this are becoming more frequent.

jun

It makes me sad to see these events unfold. I have been there my self, all I can offer is there is always tommorow and with the rising sun comes hope for a new day, and every day passing gets better and better.
Hang in there!
