brazilian rain tree
GOOD Looking tree!! did you carve the trunk the way it is on the right?? if so why i thought those trees were suppose to have a flat look with age..no matter the tree is very good..take care john

Hi,
Good potential for the tree.
Do you plan to wire it soon or clip and grow? the branch are looking too stiff and hard now you might miss the chance.
IMHO,They are proportion to the trunk already in terms of size.

This view is just about the trunk at it's widest angle. The cool thing I love about this tree is the way the bark cracks and sheds. I have a bit of wire on the tree now, but the branches are starting to get quite stiff and hard to bend. I've been doing a lot of trimming because it's a fast grower. When It's warm enough to put outside for the summer I hope to be able to fill in some more foliage and clean it up a bit

Lawrence,
If it's too stiff now don't wire it. you might break a branch.
You could try using guy wires, to create new bends if you wanted to.
