English Elms Empty English Elms

Hi all I wanted to share with you these English Elms. One I collected last year with a large root mass which has turned out to be half a tree. Looks like Jabba the Hut now. The other ones are this years collections.

Just a rebox for the vigorous ones and cutting back on the big old dead roots. I've done a little work on future branch selection and wired out some shoots directionally where they look to be in good positions. I'm going to take my time and let nature run at its own pace. I'm in no hurry. The surprise is the big hollow monster, I knew it was the remnant of an old trunk and would have a heavy root but but its like a log canoe under there! You could hang a sail on it and cross the atlantic.
