With all the horror of the quake and tsunami, the meltdown (or potential meltdown) at those two reactors may be the most long-lasting horror.

I don't recall any mention of much in the way of bonsai up there north of Tokyo, though there undoubtedly was some. But you can grow more bonsai in time. A family member or loved one is irreplaceable.

Although I am sadend greatly to hear that there has been loss of life, the amount of life actually lost is unthinkable.
Don't worry Ravi, we know what you ment! When I heard about the earthquake and the tsunami in Japan, I was sadend as to the lives lost and then said "Shit the Bonsai's." We have all thought about the bonsai's lost, some poeple just like to take the motal high ground.

Gambatte in japanese means: " good luck!" or " do your best!" The best we can all do is to donate money. 3 bank accounts will be soon open and ready to receive your donations: 1 in Europe, 1 in USA, 1 in Japan and a PAYPAL account. I'm sure that the Omachi family will share whatever we will be able to collect with relatives and friends in need. Help us to help them. Dont' wait, please don't wait! Thank you
