The Dragon Empty The Dragon

Post  jupp Tue Feb 22, 2011 5:21 pm

Long before I first heard some of Nick lenz I have "built" my dragon.
It is a Tanuki. An old vine wood and a field elm in autumn is yellow and green fire in the summer. You have to play

The fire is a field elm, planted behind the old wood that has been drilled. The young elm was inserted through the hole and is now the flame.
Thanks for the comments:D

The tree is very healthy. However a "dragons flame" brunch become too massive. I like the look on picture here https://i.servimg.com/u/f21/16/21/05/02/dsc_1426.jpg maybe little thinning would improve. That's just my taste.

that is simply radical !!!
i really really really dig the marriage of the old wood and the young elm...

this past spring i threaded some corkscrew willow whips through a cactus bone and am curious what it will do as the trunks expand and fill the interior... inspired by this post, i am taking time out of my bonsai work day to post this thread on it:
