A few of my recently made pots
A new glaze that I have been experimenting with applied to this pot that was commissioned by a friend for a Calicarpa bonsai which has mauve coloured berries in the autumn and early winter. I think the colour will suit it well. I hope soon to do some variations with this glaze which looks 'promising'. I've been struggling for some time trying to create a mauvey coloured glaze and think I may have 'cracked' it at last (bad choice of words: 'cracked'!!!).

Yes, this is a very promising glaze Dan.
It has all the right characteristics; depth, movement, and it is nicely variegated.
Mauve is a color that I have not yet experimented with.
I look forward to seeing what variations you develop from this.
Cheers,
Paul

That Gold Nugget pot is certainly interesting!
I love the crackle white!
Dan, how many of those can you get in a kiln load?

Hi Dale,
Anything from 60 - 100 depending on size and whether or not I have any regular bonsai pots to include.

Hi Libby,
The external measurements of the pot are: 8" x 8" x 13.5" and it is currently planted up with my cascade hawthorn which was started as a bonsai from a tiny collected seedling in the year that I began in the hobby (1969). My apologies for the compromised display stands..... I'd lent my usual stand for this tree to a friend. The tree measures 30" and the picture was taken a year or so ago. I still have to build up the foliage density in the lower branches of the tree (even after 42 years in training!!!).
