Hello All

I am not sure what type of plant this is but I have had it for 4 years. It was given to me as a get well gift and I have always kept it inside and it seems to be doing well. I live in southern california zone 8b and I was thinking of pruning it but I am not sure since I don't know that it is. I would greatly appreciate and advice or thoughts.

Thank You !
Leah

Here's some info on Aralia as bonsai. http://www.bonsai-bci.com/species/aralia.html

Well, that's just a trade name applied to any of several hothouse Aralia sold as houseplants or pseudo bonsai.

I had one of those. Bought it and had it in small pot. Didnt grow much here. One leaf came, one died. And stood mostly still. The sort I had were terrible at branching. Just a long stem and a leaf. After some time, just irritating me, I threw it away.
