DWARF HOKKAIDO CHINESE ELM
Howzit Guys,
This is a Dwarf Hokkaido Chinese Elm I just got in today from "Bonsai Garden"( http://stores.ebay.com/The-Bonsai-Garden ) in California. This is my first attempt at a Shohin bonsai. So please take a look and any advice and/or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I have one of these. I collected it from a friends garden and had been there for 20 years. Extremely brittle, as I have found out to my cost. Clip and grow is the way forward with this one.

Much Mahalo for the advice. I just got this in not to long ago so I'm letting it rest a bit. John, I'm thinking about growing it a little bit more before potting up. Will, mahalo for the advice, will take it to account.

They may look tiny and tender but they aren't. Mine needs full sun and winter exposure to thrive. I've struck a few cuttings, so I'm going to experiment and plant some out for a few years.
Brent has some good advice on them on this page http://www.evergreengardenworks.com/ulmus.htm
