Very fortunate to find lots of bonsai materials in a closing down nursery. This one is a white stinkwood that I planted in a fukinagashi position. I know this needs a bit more work in shaping. I would like to know what kind of pot I must use when it is ready for re-potting. Thanks. ManoWhite Stinkwood. 14993510

White Stinkwood is Celtis africana ?

Typical shape is ?

What is the soil mix ?

Is that a silver colander ?

Until.

Yes, it is celtis africana. Generally it is seen as a tree with rounded shaped top that normally grows in the suburbs. I used pre-mixed bonsai soil and planted in a temporary vessel (tin basin with lots of punctured holes under). It was growing upright when I found in a bag from a nursery as you can see how the leaves are facing, but took interest that it looks good in slanting position.
