black walnut ???

anyone have any experience with black walnut ???

i only ask because someone is offering me one for free, but having so many trees now,
i dont really want to take on something that won't necessarily cooperate...

gotta feeling the compound (?) leaves might have a hard time reducing...

Leaves are much too big.

Valuable tee, though. Worth thousands of dollars when large. Plant it in your yard and leave it to the kids in your will.

sheeeee-it man... i'd druther planet it in a big-ass nursery pot and sell 'er off down the line

I only know of one as a bonsai, and its very nice but the leaves don't reduce a lot. I think walnut is only worth the effort if you have a large, gnarly old trunk.
