ID from a garden centre?

hi

this has been in my rockery a year and i forget what it was and as can see i didnt really know how to care for (have learnt more about pines since)

can you advise name and how to maintain and clean up a bit?

Not an expert on pine ID, but it looks like a Pinus Mugo (Mountain Pine)
I have one in a pot that I bought it was potbound and had broken the pot.
I have others that are smaller and have not suffered and look rather different.
Also a fat one in a pot waiting for a major rework.

I agree with Yosemite, it looks very much like a Mugo.
