Rocks for pots ?

i found 2 rocks i want to dr ill out to make pots.. they are porus sp? what to buy to spray the inside to seal them so they will hold water ?? there will be drain holes but as they are water just drains through the whole rock..any help please. i like the rock pots but want to make my own.. thanks take care john

I think your best bet will be to use the rocks as is. when you fill the cavities with soil, the finer particles and fine roots will work their way into the rock's pores and will restrict its porosity considerably. Just water a bit more often over the first few months.
