Re: The "Deer"
My first thought was antlers when looking for the deer theme. Then I saw your deer head and think the image is a good one. Please keep us posted on its progress.

Hi Efi, thanks for your virtual.

I see a deer without antlers
What it makes a tree unique is its special characteristics. For this one its special characteristics include the top dead wood, the “antlers”. By removing them you make a more or less a typical bonsai , One you see all the time, you are losing the magic of wildness, you destroy the natures beautiful anomaly. I believe in such cases you have to in cooperate the special characteristics of the tree to the design and not to remove them.
This is my humble opinion but I would love to hear the opinion of more experience members of this forum.
Again many thanks for your reply my Friend Efi.

Re: The "Deer"
I was recently at a bonsai expo and saw this and it reminded me of a buck's antlers!

Re: The "Deer"
The third picture offers that best possible front. From that angle, the interaction between the live and living portions of the tree are most interesting. As far as your 'virtuals', I believe that a equally balanced canopy on this type of material is quite anomalous. It would be like looking at two separate trees. The material has undergone hardships and the stress of elements.Under those circumstances, an umbrella shaped canopy would never happen.

Re: The "Deer"
Hi Carlos,
I do agree that an umbrella shape canopy is wrong. The silhouette of the foliage must comply with the rest of the tree.
As far as the third picture the trunk may offers the best possible front but is not conform to the nebari and the upper top deadwood.
The nebari has an oval shape and on the third picture it has the narrow side at front.
The upper dead wood on the same pictures looks that extent far away from the trunk
