Unknown tropical, can anyone identify ?

I would not mind a close up of the :
1. bark
2. leaves
3. branch with leaves [ to see if its alternate or parallel leaves ]

The leaves appear alternate. Are the white blotches where it has shed bark? Are you sure it is tropical? Does it have a milky sap? Trunk looks related to Crape Myrtle.

Hey Xavier and Billy thank you very much for responding.

I will try and get some close-ups of everything as the day moves along.

Billy, this is a local weed tree, appears on the sides of the highway and in the forests or jungles or over grown cocoa estates. I have never seen the flower,otherwise I could just go to the Herbarium, at St.Augustine.
