The lady in glasses, in the first of the "faces on view" post is from Sweden I think, and was is one of a party of 9 Swedes who made the trip over to the UK for the show. I don't know her name though. Hope that helps?

Apart from the quality of the trees and displays what I enjoyed most was the friendly atmosphere. It made the work Mark,Ritta, myself and a host of helpers well worth while.

Lovely show! The Trident root over rock/cave is amazing! I would love to know about its history.

Hi Todd, the Trident Maple you mention belongs to my good friend Reg Bolton who is President of EBA. I have watched the tree develope over the last 16 years. It was brought in from Japan in 1997 as a training piece and is in fact 5 trees fused together which means in the spring they all bud and leaf at seperate times. this lovely tree sits in a Dan Barton Pot. Hope this info is OK

BOY! How I appreciate the close ups of the scrolls. Thank you so much. I think I can go back and figure out which goes with which. Thought Mark's comments about the diminishing use of scrolls was enlightening.
