this is my premna

Hi, i just discovered this forum and I really found it really useful and im learning a lot from it. Im from Puerto Rico and this is my first post.

I have this premna that i got from a trade.



it got more longer shoots right now than it this picture.

also some that are growing on the base.

its not easy to find premna here , and almost impossible to find a nice trunk. So im trying to improve the quality of it by letting it grow freely in a large pot. It needs to grow a larger trunk
I got a couple of questions on it that i think you guys can help me about.

Do i have to choose specific shoots to let grow? or just let all the twigs growing like it is?
it is flowering, do i have to remove the flowers ?
