We went to the valley (deep south Texas) to visit my in laws and decided to round the local nurseries. Though most are close for the weekend, I came home with a "reject" Japanese Blueberry w/ a dead top in a 40 gal pot for 70% off, a Guamuchil (aka Kamachille) and two seedlings of TX Ebony. I will try to get/find bigger specimen of the TX Ebony in the future since it has really nice branch structure and ramification. The leaves, though compound are very compact...I love it!

Any tips caring for any of these trees will be much appreciated.

How does TX Ebony react to being collected from the wild?

Latin names would make it SO much easier to find out what plants your are talking about. I know Texas ebony, but they others could be anything.

Yes.
Guamuchil is Pithecellobium dulce. That tells you a lot, because several present & former members of that genus are also popular bonsai subjects.

Iris,

That's encouraging! Smile This tree is unique that even the bigger branches are still flexible/bendable and seems to love to back bud.
