Cotoneaster cascade shohin

The pot is an old Japanese rice bowl. This gets put in a safe place on a windy day.

I have collected a few ashtrays and bowls that I thought would make nice pots if only I could drill some holes in the bottom. What sort of drill bit did you use?

Hi..you can use a tile bit to bore holes in it...

The best drill bits to use are the core type bits that Glass people use to drill glass you can usually buy them for $25 US. for a 1/2" hole. It is easy to drill them use a battery drill and keep the bit cool with water. I drill them all the time at my Glass Shop we usually charge $5 US per hole.
