Nice job! Like the pot choice too. My only criticisms of the tree are:

1) The tree seems too 'busy'; the branches on the left point downwards whereas many on the right point upwards.

2) The base is great, but then there is a lack of taper further up the trunk, which also points directly upwards. Whether you can carve it to induce taper is up to you. I quite liked the planting angle in the 'before' pic, but then it is your tree and you have the advantage of seeing in 3D.
