"Shunkashūtō -The Four Seasons"
This years collectors piece is an Unglazed octagonal pot with four of the eight faces depicting one of the four seasons.
"Spring - Haru" Depicted by Plum Blossom
The pot comes in a bespoke wooden box with a solid silver Stone Monkey embedded into the lid. Although the pot is a collectors item it is completely practical and fired to 1250 degrees centigrade rendering the pot frost proof should the owner wish to plant a bonsai in the pot. A fine addition to any Bonsai enthusiast or ceramic lovers collection. The pot will be avaliable from 01/11/10 and as per usual will be for sale via my website by silent auction with the pot going to the highest bidder.

As Peter Warren says, the Stone Monkey "will certainly take on the mantle of the UK's greatest potter as the current generation begin to wind down production."
Absolutely fabulous design, execution, and presentation!
It already looks old.

Will
Thank you kind sir
Dale
Many thanks for your appreciation, this was the second version of the pot. The first was a complete wash out, hence the pot being a little later than usual this year
Rob
Cheers mate, hopefully next year I can do a wood fired pot
bonsai meister
Thanks for the support. I was extremely flattered by Peter's comments and very taken aback
Personally I feel I have much much more to achieve as there is are fabulous ceramic artists out there whom I very much aspire too and am in awe of what they create.
Matt
To quote master potter Simon Leach "Keep practicing" it's the only way to get there in the end. Oh and if your a bit green, whch you should not be, then a good bisque fire will sort that out
Sincerely all many thanks for you supportive comments it means alot to me

Andy,
Summer is beautiful but I keep returning to the spring blossom.
You quote one of my many inspirations and practice is something I do alot of. Am busy carving for another firing this w/e, single fired from green... lets hope that cures my colour problem
Just like with my real trees, I am hanging to see the seasons roll by so we can get back to spring.
