Re: Do you think it's BONSAI???
Alex,
my immediate response is it needs more work. The root trunk zone is impressive, but is missing a few angles. The top also needs a bit more, not quite the baobab feeling, which is the direction it seems to be going.
Thanks for showing.

Re: Do you think it's BONSAI???
is it Baobab! looks more like Adenium in flower. Does Bobab have red flowers?Adenium also have upward growth and as said have scope to fill up upwardly. love flower color- a little drought induce them to flower more in season i'm told. Indonesia does fantastic artwork with this species- so does Vietnam.Khaimraj Seepersad wrote:Alex,

Re: Do you think it's BONSAI???
Before this gets lost in the translation - baobab feeling --means feels like a baobab - not it is a baobab.
The idea is the adenium is developing a baobab type shape.

This plant is call "Desert Rose". Is originated from Africa and is a popular bonsai in tropical countries especially south east asia. It's quite a unique plant whereby it can tolerate heat & dryness. It trunck swell quite easily during growth. But be cautious, its saps and root is quite posinous.
