Hurricane Igor Empty Hurricane Igor

Post  Ume Thu Sep 23, 2010 5:51 pm

The other night at 2 a.m. the husband and I were off to bed when a small part of Hurricane Igor pasted my province one its way to NFLD. I flew out to the balcony and pulled in my bonsai in a panic! Shocked I managed to grab my mini roses and bird feeder before they were smashed. Whew! The next morning we had to remove tree branches which had fallen on our truck, no damage thank goodness!

Peace

A lucky escape, Ume.

Do you often get bad wind around bedtime?

Here in the colonies we no longer refer to it as "bad wind". Now it's a Global Climate Disruption!

Right now we're about half way in to hurricane season and they said that we're going to have more this year. Usually when the atlantic ocean has a lot of activity the pacific ocean is quieter and vice versa. The last time a hurricane had hit Hawaii was about a little over 10 years ago. So we're due for one!!
