Thank you so very much, John...

I've been watching your videos and studying what you have accomplished with your bald cypress over several years now and I have a big grin every single time I see them. They really help us see what is possible...
I know it's a lot of work to shoot/edit/post them - we bald cypress lovers and fanatics very much appreciate your efforts.
You do understand these trees...

Where can I find the wide and shallow plastic pots that you use?
I really need some.
Thanks in advance...

thanks Ironman!! The containers I use are just plastic mortar mixing containers that I get any almost any lowes or homedepot for about $5. I will add the caveat that they are a little flimsy for my taste...you have to be careful moving them around until the tree establishes a root system....then they are fine. Often I will use two containers nested together to stiffen them but even this can still be a little flimsy. My favorite choice is to use large mica pots but the recent price increases have almost made them too expensive to use.

Thanks, John...
Down this way the big box stores just have the rectangular mortar tubs.
They work but I'd rather have the round, shallower 'pots' you use.
I'll keep looking.
Thanks, sir and keep up the good work.
If you get near the San Antonio area, dinner is on me... Very Happy

ahh...I think I misunderstood which containers you were referring to...The short round ones I use for smaller trees come from the automotive department at Walmart... $2 oil changing pans.

I actually grew up in Houston and spent a year at Trinity U in S.A....nice town...I have always really liked the hill country of Texas.
I miss the old Taco Cabana that used to be open all night near the campus:)...now that was good Mexican food!!!
