Latest pine score!!!

Today, while visiting New England Bonsai Gardens, in MA, I was informed by one of the proprietors of a new shipment in from the west coast. This is what came home with me. The height from the top of the pot to where the tree begins to curl is 24 inches. The loop is what convinced me that the tree was meant for me. This is going to be fun to work

Great material to start with, lot of work to do: great find, you just can't make it an annoyingly "mainstream bonsai"...

sorry Will. I thought I named it. It's ponderosa pine. I don't have a design idea at present. I do plan on exposing the shari within the next few days. That should help with a direction.

Very nice find. Really like the loop at the top.
I hope that you are going to make that part a feature and not disguise it!
