Wyoming Stones
Hello,
I am usually a lurker on this forum, but finally have something to post. I just took a picture of some stones, and now would like to share them with you all.
I just got these stones from a friend, who collected them from Wyoming. They are desert/wind-eroded rocks. We think the pock-marked surface on many of these stones looks similar to meteor fragments. These stones I have just washed/brushed clean, and let dry. Sorry the background is a little distracting.
I will try to take more pictures of individual stones, with a black background, and post them later. Hope you enjoy.

Re: Wyoming Stones
There are several that appear to have much promise. I'd love to see them in profile. I think that you might have a few that would deserve good daiza carving.

I have taken more pictures, and put them into an album.

Re: Wyoming Stones
Hi Chris... The stone you noted as "a toad" was striking at the viewing angle you shared with that tag. The image moves the viewer to imagine a toad while viewing the stone.
Several had substantive cracks or a broken side conflicting with the texture of other sides of the stone.
Among these stones, is there another that engages your imagination as striking & without substantive material flaw?
