Prunus mahaleb No 8_cascade

This is one of my cascades that has made a really nice progress this year.

2016  Spring



Detail on a deadwood on the top. No preservation treatment - the colour is just plain Nature



2017  Summer
Deadwood_still no treatment.  Leaving it for the Nature with a little bit of my help.   Some fine tuning on this part and a bit more on the jin at the bottom planned for the near future.




I do like this view from the "top" as it shows the main characteristics of the tree at its best.  And at the same time gives an opportunity to those interested to discover some other features ( eg the jin at the bottom or nicely curved trunk covered by the mass of foliage ).   

On the other side the tree is built to look reasonable from other positions as well...

Container:  Plasthalla, diameter 28 cm.        Not very attractive but perfect for the training
Tree depth: 30 cm below the rim
Tree lenght:  57 cm
Owner: Altitude + 182 cm

The mahaleb is just entering the new stage - Refinement. So a smaller pot will be quite handy...

The rough structure of the crown is n e a r  l y    in line with my plans.  But there are two important branches that do not look "right".  And if they go I need to adjust some others too...
