capel manor show

just got back from Our show at Capel Manor horticultural college where we held a bonsai show with a difference. We invite bonsai individuals to display bonsai. We supply individual display areas and there is a draw for the numbered places. the artist can fill the space with whatever or however they choose. Most went for a traditional display and they were all beautiful and finished to a high standard.
There were 3 prizes best display , best tree in show, and then each person attending had a vote for their favourite display, next year i think we will also vote for best accent plant as they were fantastic.
The prizes were limited edition Walsall studio ceramics pots.
The Hawthorn picture won the public choice
the Alder shown won best display
The juniper with the twisted shari on best tree.

What kind of tree is that in the 7th picture??

its strange when i saw it in the show it does look the part
but on the photo it looks different!

I know what you mean about photo's, they can be misleading. Yes the pot is one of mine but before you ask me anymore about it, it was a fluke. Along with most of my pots, which I call pleasant accidents!!
