Re: import from Australia.?
Hi Mark! That response is not strictly true. Depending on how "gutted" you now are, there is a ray of hope if you - at least - want to try. You will need a "Phytosanitary Certificate", available in your present country from whatever is the local equivalent of our Min of Ag or Defra. It says the plant is in good health, but of course a lot will depend on what species it is. You could check www.fera.defra.gov.uk/plants/plantHealth/imports/travellers.cfm - it is quite clear on what you can and cannot do., and also refers you to other docs of explanation. I'd treat it as a challenge if it was mine but depends how much effort you are prepared to make. Just as a matter of interest, what is the species? Presumably it would live in our variable (!) climate, or you would not be asking. Good luck!! Rick.

Re: import from Australia.?
its a ficus bonsai, i left it out the back in 40 degree sun and nearly killed it 2 years ago, it dropped all the leaves and it looked like a stick in a pot, since then i have brought it back and shaped it really well, it would be such a shame just to give it away after the time i have spent on it, i will deff look into this, thank you... there is a glimmer of hope, i know they are a cheap beginner tree, but I'm attached to this one :-)
