U being resident of mumbai i would say u contact jyoti and nikuj parek as they are the masters of bonsai.they have
also been writing articles on bonsai
In international bonsai magzines and have published books on tropical bonsaai. He also writes a monthly magzine on bonsai in mumbai .i tried my level best to get the subscription but could not contact him. He and his wife also takes bonsai classes in bombay and also holds bon. Exibition in bombay. And ....... u are lucky to have a bonsai teacher close to u

ficus are excellent for tropics and warmer climate.
they are outdoor sun loving trees.
easy to maintain, very hardy and can be shaped quite easily.
