planting for the first time
Hi,
I have observed many a times while planting any plant the root cutting initially kills the plant. Is it advisable to prune or cut the roots in the beginning when the plant has just been potted. It stays alive for some months and then it dies. Please advise. Thank you.

Re: planting for the first time
If the tree lives for several months after root pruning, it suggests some other thing is killing the tree. Is the plant vigorous after repotting? What happens to the leaves when the plants die? Really need more information about your situation. Is there a change of seasons? is Mumbai monsoonal? Is this when your plants die?
Very difficult question to answer.
