Celtic Knot at Bonsai World 2013
Had a great weekend at the Crawley show hosted by the Sussex group. a stunning venue with all the room that you could ever wish for, plenty of room to view the displays, these are the three tables that myself and Jerry put on
Larch group
Blackthorn, hawthorn and a burberus accent
As it was a venue that I thought the general public would come to I put on a table of accents, maybe a little over done but I hope it went down well
Some closeups of the accents
Regards Chris

I'm normally not a big fan of the larch, but that is one of the nicest forests I have seen in a long time. Well done!

The accents are great, really like the clutter display!
Are the mushrooms real, if so, how did they manage to grow it in a pot?

Probably just lifted them, soil and all, and moved to a container. I've done that. They don't last long -- usually -- but long enough for a show. Are the mushrooms real, if so, how did they manage to grow it in a pot?

Hi guys and thanks for the replies, the mushrooms are some sort of resin and are so well done they make a lot of people look, I will try to photo them soon.

Hi Jim, I bought them at the famous Chelsea flower show about 6 years ago, there was a stall with a hundred or more these were the only two that looked good.

nice pics and write up chris.
there is a company making the resin mushrooms as accurate models for teaching biology - they are exact models of dozens of species. its the same company that makes the models of body parts, heads, organs etc.
google finds them quite easily but i'll find the link if people struggle
cheers Marcus
