Speaking of odd coloring . . .

This Nandina domestica appears to have decided that fall is just around the corner here in North Carolina.

Yup been a wild year in NC. Droughts for the last several years and this year you can't find a dry place. Last couple of years temps in high 90's F and this year lucky to get into the 80's F. Will be interesting when fall arrives and what it will bring. Nice Nandina -- I guess I will keep my eyes out for a good potential.

All my deciduous trees are budding out - frustration is over for us here in the southern hemisphere    !

On a serious note - something is wrong with our weather because we had the driest summer and warmest winter here in Rustenburg South Africa. Fearing the consequences of this for our coming summer here!

I'm afraid, however, that something is wrong with everyone's weather.

Yup. Definitely something wrong here: we've had nearly four weeks of sunshine.  

It's the same deal up here. I've noticed some of our natives changing to fall colors nearly two months early. Certainly not ready for fall/winter yet.
