Just Buggy

Went outside after a big rainstorm only to find this....
Aphids I presume, I noticed the ants first and knew they were usually a sign of other bugs so I treated the trees with Bayer's Advanced multi insect killer.
Hope I got them in time. I didn't notice them yesterday.
They seemed to be just on the two little cotoneaasters but I treated all the trees.

Aphids is correct, but what you used might have been overkill.
If you used a spray, please wash it off today.

What does the Bayers' label say is in it? It's probably OK, but as Billy said, probably overkill, too. Aphids are pretty easy to get rid of with less toxic sprays. Be careful of indiscriminate spraying of plants that are NOT infested.
