Ilex work by Rodney Clemons
The BSOB had Rodney Clemons visit us on Tuesday, 06/12/2012. Rodney worked on member trees and did a lot of teaching. This is an Ilex vomitoria Schillings that I took. The tree is about 20 years from a cutting.
The first photo is the tree as it started.
This is a detail of the trunk.
The next three show the work on the tree, I will take a closer photo of the result and try to expalin Rodney's vision later today.
All the foliage was removed and most of the branches.

Looking at the soil the roots don't seem to bad either. Uncommon for nursery material.
