Pacific Northwest Bonsai CLub Association 2012 Convention

The Pacific Northwest Bonsai Club Association 2012 Bonsai Convention “Imagine and Create” (hosted by the Bonsai Society of Portland) will be held 14-16 September 2012 at the Hilton Hotel at Vancouver, WA near Portland, Oregon, USA “Imagine and Create” is an invitation to expand your bonsai vision and dexterity. Both beginners and seasoned bonsai people will find activities to engage your imagination and hone your skills. The convention features bonsai artists new to the Pacific Northwest region. These will include: Marco Invernizzi from Italy and Peter Warren from the UK, Ted Matson from California , and Scott Elser, two-time winner of the Most Outstanding Conifer at the Bill Valvannis’ US National Bonsai Show. In addition, there will be a series of cameo appearances: David DeGroot, Michael Hagedorn and Joe Harris III will join us for special half-day workshops. As added treats, California artist Jim Gremel will take some time out of the marketplace to lead yet another half-day workshop, and Bob Carlson, President of the California Suiseki Society, will present several events featuring the Art of Suiseki.
