thank you very much for posting this rare, rarely seen tropical pine. Down on my side, the tropical pine is a mix of the Honduran and the Caribbean pine, but since it is a tree grown for lumber, the trees tend to be very top dominant. I have a few under test training, and I have to keep the top severely pruned, to keep the side branches alive as well as thickening.
It is still easier on my nerves to grow Japanese black pines.
