Niall has been into Bonsai for a feww years now, but as with a lot of people, work and family comes first. So the fact is he can't get down as much as he would like.
Scott's Pine, Niall collected this within sight of his perants house in Scotland 5 to 6 years ago

Niall also brought along a small pine this one he had from Graham (Kaisan) and it originated in Norway.
Niall has put a great shape into what was more or less a stright trunk, so it was only wiring and a small amount of beanch placement. He has some ideas for a pot and will be talking to some potters next year.

Hi Chris.

May I ask what is the wire in the trunk for?. Not so sure if it is helping in bending.

Nice pot by the way. but IMHO will be too large for the tree for now.

jun Smile

Hi Jun , Thanks for your reply

The wire on the trunk is to enable the tourniquet to be applied as the trunk is still in training.

The pot is just an idea of what Niall is looking for and yes I agree this one is to big, but it is a starting point for him to refine his thoughts on it, we were talking about maybe some peices of slat cemented together.

Regards Chris

Hi Chris.
Ok, thanks!
A smaller pot of the same shape and character might work.

jun
