Warm winter
I planted some daffodils and crocuses scattered in the lawn last Fall. I like how it looks although there aren't enough of them. The problem is that it was so warm this winter that when they came up the crocuses bloomed for about a day and then dried up, and then the daffodils came up and bloomed and it was close to 80 degrees so they looked scorched after a day or so instead fo lasting a week or so. I would much rather have hot weather in winter than daffodils and crocuses lasting longer so I thinks its a great trade.
