I have never used a wheel, i know it something that i must get around to learning to do !!
I generally coil my round pots. But some of the smaller ones i build from slabs.

Hello Vic
You are really mastering it!
Your combination of clay, craft, glaze and especially firing is awesome !
Kind regards

Re: Some new pots
Vic,
I love these latest pots, especially the last few. You have a knack for combining colors in your glazes and I find it to be very effective indeed!
BTW I love your pots in Michael Bailey's book. I understand he is doing a third book. I am hoping you will have some photos in the next one as well...
Cheers from across the pond-

Re: Some new pots
Thanks Rob !
I do have a passion for glazes and i'm always experimenting, i love the buzz just before i open up the kiln in anticipation of whether my experiments have turned out as i imagined !!
Thanks again, i was really honoured when Mike asked me to contribute to his book. I owe Mike a big debt, he really helped and guided me when i first got started in pottery. Yes he is, but i have been so busy over the last year or so and that coupled with the fact that he and his partners sold "Bath Potter supplies" where we tended to get together when i went to pick up clay etc, unfortunately means we've not been in touch recently.
Apart from a brief discussion via email regarding the addition of silicone carbide to various glazes, we got some very interesting effects !!
Cheers

Vic,
Really nice pots again! I am beginning to enjoy the layered look of your pots. A very effective personal style IMHO.
I also like the red/orange glaze. Very interesting.....

Re: Some new pots
Thanks Rob !
I do like making crescents, i'm working on some more now, i'm really enjoying playing around with different textures for them. I was pleased with the blue glaze, this one is from our gas kiln and is one of my Dads pots, i'm going to try the glaze in the electric kiln next and see how it turns out.
Cheers
