Budi Sulistyo’s garden in Jakarta

Hi Bonsai lovers

Recently I was for a short visit in Budi Sulistyo’s garden – a true bonsai paradise !
My article about this visit is published in the current issue of BONSAIFOCUS no. 50.

Budi Sulistyo will be one of the headliners next BONSAIAUTUMN 7 on 27 to 28 August in Switzerland. And during the exhibition I present my slide-show « Bonsai in Bali ». For more informations please read the flyer (last picture).

Cosmos, The ficus on the slab is ficus green island. It was full of berries at that time.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what species the 9th picture is? the first picture of of a single tree. Its very cool and I wonder if ive seen them in the wild?

This one is Tamarind or Tamarindus indica

what a marvellous place to enjoy such wonderfull works, i can only dream of the peace and tranquility it inspires, is the wall behind natural rock?

The wall is made of bricks covered by plastered cement.
