I do not know where (or if) I'm going with this Juniperus virginiana I dug from my yard. The red "cedar" around here have very wispy, light foliage, and seem to take on a weeping-ish look even in their n atural ugly arrow straight, conical growth habit.
I wondered what might happen if the weepyness were exaggerated.
Your comments and thoughts about this direction for an othrwise dull bonsai subject will be appreciated.

Hello Jim. I don't see this weeping effect working well with the arrow straight sections on the trunk. How about removing the bark on the side where you have all the jins, wrapping in sphagnum for root initiation and making a shorter raft (root connected) style bonsai?

Well, I could do that, or I could shorten that long straight trunk with a layer . . . . All in all, probably not worth it.
I only dug the darned thing because it was in the way of a new pasture fence line.
