Juniperus formosana 2007 (owner M.Škrabal) - first styling

Hi all friends

The owner of the tree is a friend Mirek. The tree has since 2007. In 2009, we worked the rest of the dead wood. (some of it was working before). In 2009, we transplanted tree.




Today I worked the first styling.

Another great styling of really good material. The foliage is arranged beautifully and the deadwood carving is excellent.

Until the photo with you and Mirek beside the tree for scale, I thought the tree was much smaller.

Mirek must have a garden full of beautiful trees - I've admired all the other trees you have styled for him too.

Is it as blue as the pics indicate ? Reminds me of J. horizantalis from the NE USA ( commonly called " Blue Rug ). Very nice tree.

Hello Pavel. Theres one aspect thats drawing my eye and could be corrected with a slight change of angle. The vertical live vein and horizontal looping trunk make for a right angle. Small detail on a real beauty, none the less.

Yes, you're right, the angle the picture looks not nice.But the real trunk is a powerful and dynamic muscle. It has great depth in motion. Photos very deceiving. Thank you for your good comment.

Very interesting tree.
I think Will has a point there but it is not that branch.
It has to do with the size of the lower deadwood in comparison with the tree,
something with the empty space on the right?
When we wil see a show of the bonsai collection of Mirek Skrabal?

I think the visual weight of green matter is left a bit more now. This will be adjusted in future years. Now we did not want to take more.
