Although I don't have any photos, the juniper is doing well...Mike removed the wire this past summer...if memory serves much healing and thickening had occurred to the trunk that was split.
Russell, Thanks! I encouraged this slab to peel off of a large granite boulder...I assume water turning to ice created the fracture and had I not been there to keep it from falling it would have just broken into pieces. I have found a few of these that are pretty nice over the years and I value them as much or more than any ceramic container:) I have a couple large ones that I can't wait to plant once I get some good material developed.
