Re: mid size leaf wrightia religiosa with two apexes and guava bonsai with cascade style
HI Bigbabol,
Very very nice and I must admit very unusual trees. I say unusual because the first tree - the wrightia religiosa, with its twin trunk , is actually two trees. Each of the trunks is trained as a tree in itself. Now that is what can be called the SURREAL style. My favourite painter Salvatore Dali had a lot of paintings in this style. This is why I find this tree exceptional.
The second tree the Gauva, even thought it is a cascade, it is actually a proper informal upright with one of its branches cascading down. The traditional cascade does not have a proper "tree" up but just a cascading part of the tree. This is the reason why I find this tree appealing. I have seen trees like this with the Chinese..
Excellent trees both...
Ravi

Babol.
nothing profound, like Ravi said, to express, just impressive trees !!
That guava does not exist on this island, only the larger leaf - bummer.
Unusual bumps on the Wrightia.
Keep em comin.
Khaimraj
Ravi - Salvador Dali - well that explains a lot ------ Dreamscape ------------- ^

I find the two apexes a bit off putting, but that's probably just me. I really like the cascade and have to disagree with Ravi about the form. That is a quite standard form of cascade. This one is very well done!
I'd swipe that pot if the airline ticket to get there weren't so expensive. Can you say anything abut it?
I hope that tree doesn't stay on such an insecure perch for long.

I think Ravi is right about the apex of the guava, its too high for the cascade, it's like a cross bred with upright tree and cascade tree...but it can be kept as is.
Very nice trees Bigbabol.

jun

Nice trees.
Very peculiar bumps on the Wrightia. Any ideas on what produced them?

Both trees look beautiful. I agree with Jim about the stand for the Guava, I hope that it just sits there for the picture since it looks so insecure
