Re: Show us your bench(s)
Neli, it was hard to look past all your bonsai to appreciate your garden space. You have many very nice trees. In your 4th picture, those juniper have great movement. How large is your garden? It looks massive. Thanks for telling about your concrete stands.
I couldn't help but notice in your 2nd picture it looks like you have a pachypodium. Is it Saundersii? I have unresolved questions in a topic titled, surprisingly enough, 'pachypodium questions' if you have time to try to answer them there.

Re: Show us your bench(s)
I have many pachipodiums...and several varieties...but they are not on any of this pictures...Maybe you mean my umemodoki...on the second line from the top with a white label hanging from it???? It has a real short sumo trunk...
I run out of space in this plot which is 60 x 50m...so I bought the plot next door which is the same size...but I am running out of space there also and no more empty plots around to buy...He he he.
Do You mean this one?

Re: Show us your bench(s)
The other one on the same picture that is not a juniper is my wisteria...which is flowering now. What is showing on the pictures is just a small portion of the picture...if you right click the picture and open it in a new tab...You will see the whole picture.
and my gingko which is just a fat stick yet.
This is now my juniper section on the eastern side of my square. I have 30 of them. I guess I love them...but I am still growing many of them so not many are styled.

And this is in the new plot 4 lines x 60 m. where I grow my trees in the ground.
And this is the second part of the eastern side, with some plants I just bought to plant in the ground.
And this is the southern side with my daughter in it.
South and east point
I need to take a picture of the eastern side where all my bougies are. Found two pictures.

Re: Show us your bench(s)
I've just one question. How in the world do you water ALL these plants. Surely it's an around the clock endeavor....

Re: Show us your bench(s)
He hehe! They are watered 3 times a day...checked and if dry watered...I have 6 gardeners...2 trained to help me with my trees...so they water them...fertilize them...bring them to me to style them and do my layers after I mark for them where. They know also how to bareroot them and wash the soil.LanceMac10 wrote:I've just one question. How in the world do you water ALL these plants. Surely it's an around the clock endeavor....

This last photo taken almost exactly a year ago - almost none of my trees have leaves this year yet.

Can you imagine if Jerry lived in California? The water police would have you strung up in the village square!! Nice trees though.

Keri-WMS wrote:This is the plan for mine! They will let me put Mame / Shohin at the top at near eye level, and the lower shelf is a compromise between display height / space / watering etc. I need six of them! 2x2 plus short bits of old decking (3x3 at the back just because there is some kicking about!)....I plan to replace the decking in the long run with loads of 1x1 or similar slats.
36" high lower, 59" high upper, 44" wide, 22" deep - funny numbers due to using pre-cut recycled wood.
Well I finally BUILT them!!!
I only had enough wood for four of them.....for now....

Heavy duty construction. Nicely executed.
btw What is the purpose of the triangles in the front?

Thank you, Vlad. The front posts are not attached to anything, only the back ones are attached to the iron plates you can see on picture number 9. So in order to give it more stability, I had to add these triangular pieces, so that the front posts do not wiggle. Hope it answers your question
