Mario
As you say...killer Nebari indeed! Great potential for a wonderful tree. In the first picture what grit is that you have as a top dressing?

Guys, if you are jealous of one of my tree, I believe it is more difficult because I'm more jealous of your trees.

Wow! That will be an amazing tree in the future!!
I have a question if you don't mind...
i see you have cut back most of the shoots you kept on the trunk, shouldn't these be left to grow out thicker before being cut? Or did you cut them to see if you get buds to break in other places of the trunk?

The new branch is of secondary branches, they will continue to gain weight.

Good progress. How will you treat the cut off branches? Carving?
You moss has grown really well. On the coarse grit - very impressivie too.

Re: Carpinus orientalis Killer nebari
guess what?!
A few weeks ago, my friend Mario came to my garden with this tree in his hands...I was confused? He just said to me, ...I love this tree so much and because of that, this tree doesn't have a price...for me it's priceless. and as I love you so much.. I want you to have it...and he just put the tree on the ground leaving me speachless.
You see...that is my Mario a big heart in a big man
