Borers in a pine! Empty Borers in a pine!

I collected this Lodgepole pine about 4 years ago and its been losing branches one at a time from the top down. Today I did some carving to investigate and found ten of these little bastards eating my tree. I followed all their tunnels and removed them then painted the carved areas with insecticide. Hope they're dead!
